Spring Fling


General Info

  • What?
    • Friendly 1-day indoor volleyball tournament organized by DCPVL
    • 4 competitive divisions: BB, B, and new C Division (USAV/NAGVA ratings)
      • Teams may have up to 2 players from one division higher than they register/play in (e.g., a BB team may have up to 2 A players, etc.).
      • Cap is 5 teams for all divisions. There is potential to add additional teams depending on level of interest across divisions. 
    • Pool Play followed by single elimination Playoffs (best 2 out of 3 sets).
  • When?
    • 8:15am: Check-in
    • 9:00am: Pool Play starts
  • Where?
    • Raymond A. DuFour Athletic Center – Catholic University of America (CUA)
    • 600 Taylor St NE, Washington, DC
  • Who?
    • Anyone can register and play, provided they are at least 18 years old on the day of the tournament
    • There are no gender requirements
  • How much?
    • $220 per team up to 7 players; additional players incur a fee of $35 per player above 7 players, with a maximum of 10 players.
    • Payment due by March 27th at 12pm.

  • Medals will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams.

Registration

Registration for the fourth annual Spring Fling tournament is open. Team rosters are available here. Please submit your complete rosters to Jesse Anderson at anderson.jessep@gmail.com no later than Sunday, March 22nd. Failure to provide a roster by this date may prevent your team from participating in this year’s tournament.

Teams are confirmed as they pay.

Pool Play

Pool play schedule will be posted here. Pool play will consist of 2 games to 25, win by 2 with a cap at 27.

Payment

The registration fee for this year’s tournament is $220. The registration fee covers a team of up to 7 players. Additional players incur a fee of $35 (USD) per player above 7 players, with a maximum of 10 players per team. The fees can be paid online via PayPal.
